Slab Authenticated Card

// The Trust Gap

YOUR LISTING HAS PHOTOS.
BUT DOES THE BUYER
TRUST THEM?

No Proof

Your word is all they get

You photograph your card. You write the description. Buyers take your word for it.

Return Fraud

Scammers win by default

Scammer buys your card, returns a reprint, keeps the original. eBay sides with the buyer.

No Reputation

Your trust doesn't travel

Your eBay feedback says you're reliable. But it doesn't travel to TCGPlayer, Mercari, or card shows.

Slab gives every card a provenance page — photo, listing link, seller identity.

One scan, full trust chain.

THREE STEPS. FULL TRUST CHAIN.

No app required for buyers. No middlemen. Just proof.

1

Create

Snap a photo of the card. Paste your listing URL. Slab generates a provenance code in 2 seconds.

2 SECONDS

2

Ship

Print the code. Ship it with the card. The code links to your listing, your photo, your seller profile.

PRINT & SHIP

3

Verify

Buyer scans the code. Sees the provenance page: your photo, your listing, your trust history. Proof, not promises.

Verified Badge

INSTANT

FOR EVERY WAY YOU SELL.

Marketplace Sellers

eBay, TCGPlayer, Mercari, Whatnot. Two taps and a photo — your listing gets a verifiable trust artifact.

Card Shops

Build your shop's trust brand. “Authenticated by [Your Shop]” on every provenance page.

Live Breaks

Code generated on-stream. Buyer receives it with the card. Provenance starts on camera.

Sealed Product

Label on the factory seal. If the seal is broken, the provenance chain records when it was originally applied.

FROM THE HOBBY.

Real problems from the hobby. Slab is built to solve them.

I sell 50+ cards a week on eBay. If I could ship proof with every card, I'd win more disputes and close more sales.

Card Shop Owner

Scenario, Local Game Store

Last quarter I lost 3 return fraud cases because I had no way to prove what I actually shipped. Photos alone don't cut it.

Scenario, eBay / TCGplayer

We print limited-run chase cards. If each one shipped with a provenance code, buyers would trust the secondary market more.

WITH SLAB vs. WITHOUT.

Every sale has a trust gap. Here's how Slab closes it.

WITHOUT SLAB

  • x

    Listing photos only

Buyers see your photos but have no way to verify you actually have the card.

  • x

    Feedback doesn't travel

Your eBay reputation means nothing on TCGPlayer, Mercari, or at card shows.

  • x

    No physical proof

Nothing connects the card in the buyer's hand to the listing they purchased from.

  • x

Return fraud: your word vs. theirs

Scammer returns a different card. You have no evidence. Marketplace sides with the buyer.

WITH SLAB

  • Photo-anchored provenance

Buyer scans the code, sees the photo you took at certification time. Visual proof, not promises.

  • Seller profile travels everywhere

Your Slab trust history follows you across eBay, TCGPlayer, Mercari, shows, and direct sales.

  • Physical code proves shipment

The code ships with the card. It links to the listing, the photo, and your identity.

  • Scan the returned card as evidence

If the return doesn't match, the provenance page is your dispute evidence.

Slab doesn't replace your marketplace. It adds a trust layer on top of it.

Same platforms. Same workflow. Now with proof.

// Return Fraud Protection

THE BUYER RETURNS
A DIFFERENT CARD.
YOU HAVE PROOF.

Scammer buys your card, returns a reprint, keeps the original, and gets an automatic refund. It happens every day on eBay.

With Slab, every card has a photo-anchored provenance page. If the returned card doesn't match the provenance photo, you have the evidence to win the dispute.

Questions.

What does Slab actually prove?
Slab creates a provenance page for each card you sell. It shows the photo you took at certification time, the listing it's tied to, your seller identity, and your trust history. Buyers scan the code and see exactly what was shipped and by whom.
Do you grade cards?
No. Slab is provenance, not grading. We don't assess condition or assign numeric scores. A PSA-graded card can also carry a Slab code -- the grade tells condition, Slab tells trust. Complementary, not competing.
What if someone copies the QR code?
Our QR codes use layered patterns designed to resist duplication. Photocopies and screen captures produce degraded versions that don't scan reliably. We're actively validating physical degradation properties across print methods.
Do buyers need to download an app?
No. Phone camera, browser, done. The provenance page loads in under a second. No app, no account, no friction.
Does it work on eBay, TCGPlayer, Mercari?
Yes. The code is on the physical card (toploader or sleeve). It works everywhere the card goes -- eBay, TCGPlayer, Whatnot, Mercari, card shows, Shopify, direct sales. One code, every platform.
How does return fraud protection work?
Every card gets a photo-anchored provenance page when you create a code. If a buyer returns a different card, the provenance photo won't match what was returned. Screenshot the provenance page and submit it to the marketplace's dispute resolution.
Can card shops use this?
Yes. Shops get their own branding on every provenance page -- 'Authenticated by [Your Shop].' Your shop's trust score grows with every verified sale. It becomes a local reputation asset that no competitor can replicate.
